India head with responsibilities for all five businesses and professional services to develop strategies for building Eaton's overall presence and success in India. India operations consisted of over 3700 employees in 5 manufacturing facilities, 11 sales offices, and professional services.

Growth: Grew the Eaton India organization by over 4X via key initiatives including the introduction of "Customer Technology Days". Implemented a Key Account Manager program resulting in cross business sales from existing relationships by positioning a One Eaton approach.

Cost: Initiated continuous improvement projects resulting in significant cost efficiencies. Four projects were recognized at a regional level and one at the global level also won external recognition. Delivered over $60 million in savings annually to the Company by “managing Professional Services similar to a well-run plant”:

Visibility & Recognition: Successfully enhanced Eaton’s brand image and reinforced commitment to “Doing Business Right”:

  • Eaton India was named in the Great Place to Work Survey for two consecutive years
  • Recognized and appreciated by Confederation of Indian Industries for Safety Health and Environment Strategy & Practice towards Outstanding Performance
  • Championed the “Sustainability Conclave” aired on CNBC

Talent Management: Built Organization Capability by recruiting, developing and promoting local talent to support the Region. Focused on skill enhancement and continuous learning for employee development and retention. Expanded Eaton University (internal training center) to develop web based training programs in addition to Instructor led courses covering 1484 employees, providing up to 1656 days of training.

Advocacy & Government Relations: Interacted with officials in the local, state and central governments on topics relating to manufacturing policy, energy related projects, labor, taxes, environment, land acquisition etc. As Chairman and active member of Confederation of Indian Industry Pune, hosted multiple international delegations/diplomats and organized industry conferences and seminars.

Social Responsibility: Initiated programs for improving Education, Health and Environment in the community. Sponsored skill development programs, for improving employ-ability of India’s demographic dividend.
